Case study - Facebook ads
190 leads and $55,000 in work from Facebook ads for Thompson's Cooling
Last updated
Thompson's Cooling & Heating in Fort Worth had one lead source: Google. From January to April 2026 we added Facebook ads with two offers, a $59 tune-up and financing on new systems. $6,100 in spend brought back $55,000.
All case studiesThe numbers, January to April 2026
- $6,100 Total ad spend
- 190 Leads
- $32 Cost per lead
- 45 Booked jobs
- $55,000 Revenue from those jobs
- $9.02 Back for every $1 spent on ads
The problem: every lead came through Google
Thompson's got its work from SEO. Owner Dave Thompson has 25-plus years in HVAC and 50-plus five-star Google reviews, so search worked. But it was the only door. If rankings slip or a competitor outspends them on Google, the phone goes quiet and there's nothing behind it.
They needed a second lead source that didn't depend on Google at all.
Two offers running side by side
One offer to fill the schedule, one to go after the big tickets.
-
Offer 1
A $59 tune-up for fast bookings
Cheap enough to book on the spot, and it gets a tech in front of the system. This kept the calendar full.
-
Offer 2
Financing for replacements
A second set of ads spoke to homeowners with old or failing systems and led with a monthly payment instead of the full price. The sticker price stops most replacement buyers, so we took it off the table first.

Measured by
Booked jobs, not clicks
We tracked leads through to booked jobs and revenue, so we knew which offer made money and not just which one got cheap leads.
What $6,100 turned into
190 leads at $32 each. 45 of them booked, about one in four. The tune-ups kept techs busy, and the financing ads brought in system replacements, the biggest tickets in the mix.
That's $9.02 back for every $1 spent on ads and $136 in ad spend per booked job. None of it depended on Google.
What this doesn't prove
Four months, one market. Revenue is what Thompson's reported to us, the value of the jobs, not profit.
Financing gets the conversation started. It doesn't close the sale. The replacements happened because Thompson's team sold them well.
